Job Description
- Build, manage & maintain our AWS based infrastructure and code deployments.
- Dockerized Microservices Deployments: Proficient in handling the deployment and scaling of dockerized microservices, ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Microservices Scaling: Expertise in scaling microservices to handle varying loads, maintaining optimal performance and reliability.
- CI/CD Processes: Strong background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using one or more tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Infrastructure as Code (IaaC): Skilled in defining and managing infrastructure through code using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Cloud Platform Expertise: Demonstrable experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
- Automation and Scripting: Ability to automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Monitoring and Alerting: Experience in setting up and managing monitoring and alerting systems for applications and infrastructure.
- Security Practices: Knowledge of best practices in cloud security, including the management of IAM roles, security groups, and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong team collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders in the organization.
- Skilled in handling multiple types of databases, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Queue Management: Proficient with message queues like Kafka or similar technologies, focusing on high-throughput and reliable message handling.
- Great plus if you have experience in managing data warehouses, including data modeling, ETL processes, and query optimization.
Skill Sets
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in DevOps or similar roles.
- Relevant AWS certifications.
- Proven track record of managing dockerized microservices deployments and scale.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and IaaC.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong documentation and communication abilities.
